Helping the Homeless Feeding the hungry of those who are sleeping in the streets

If you have a heart, I am not asking for anything

but a moment of your time to read this.

Hi,

My Name is Tim Trueblood my mission in life is to help everyone I can. if there was a way that I could help all the homeless people in our country in someway... I would in a heart beat.

I am not a professional writer as you can tell by now.

I just want  to try and get as many people to be more aware of the  homeless problem America is facing. it's not right. that people here are living on the streets, in shelters, underpasses, back allies.. where ever they feel safe enough to lay there heads.

So Please ! take a moment to read this story. I Just want more people to see these people in a different way and maybe show a little more compassion and understanding as to why they are homeless. I think that is what Jesus is asking of me So I am going to do my best to write my feelings about the homeless people.
I hope you find it interesting.

Some call them bums, homeless, poor people, drug addicts, alcoholics.. trash, worthless, scum bags and for some that just might be true have you ever asked yourself why would these people want to live like that and get a job or get some kind of help? I know I have asked myself this for many years until one day as you will read .

But.. just think for a moment .what if this is not the case at all ..what if they were put there for a reason? Hmm..it' makes me wonder to.

Maybe just maybe.. God has placed them there to see who is compassionate enough to help another human being in some way.

Just what if..what if  this is really a test of our humanity ?

Ask yourself how many times you have walked past a homeless person and at not a offered  even  hello or offered them a helping hand.

I know many of you may not have any money to spare or don't have the time to  sit and talk with a stranger..and I know there are so many  people who just gives a blinded eye to this and it's a lot easier to just ignore them...and it is hard for some to see people like this.. it scares you....well it should..you must ask you self what if this was one of your family members?  and you don't have the time to slow down or even notice well you should be a shamed of yourself  I know I am of my self ..because I cant do more.

But if you don't take the time to hear someones story you have no right to judge or place a label on another person that don't meet your standards of living..., you may know nothing about  these poor souls; only believing what your eyes are telling you.

I would bet money on it.. that every homeless person has a story they would love to share with someone over a hot meal or even a cup of coffee or just five or ten minutes of your time to share there story.I would also bet if you did.. once they started telling it to you and if you have just a little heart.. you will want to hear it all.
let me tell you they have some interesting stories about there life.

But not all homeless chooses to be left on the streets with no where to turn.. the problem some has is deeper then you and me could ever imagine, I spoke to a few and just sat and listened to there stories, I would like to share some of it with you.

I ask myself why is there so many homeless people. The only sense I can make of it is.. it must be Gods way of reminding people to still be kind and use there hearts it teach us to have a meaning,  I don't know but there has to be a reason... I mean there must be a reason.. because ..God is not going to do this to people..but he does. why? Why do young children get sick and die and why do people get ill, cancer and all this.. I could go on and on.. but that is not what is calling of me.

I just want to help people in anyway possible, I am not rich, I don't have the means to help financially help. so I am writing about it so that maybe just maybe if I  spread the word to those who may help in some way. if I can just get one person to feel with there heart  once  and show a little compassion...then it's all worth my time.

PEOPLE GET SO CARRIED AWAY WITH LIVING THERE OWN LIVES. WE SEEM TO FORGET ABOUT KINDNESS

These homeless people maybe suffering from a mental illness that so called normal people may not understand nor want to.

I have personally sit down and spoke with a few homeless people and heard there stories.. it breaks my heart wish.. I could help each and everyone of them and listen to each of there stories and get them the help they may need.

I can't do it all  by myself..  but a little kindness from everyone will put a dent in it. maybe I am to soft hearted. I could go on and on about this.

My son just said to me dad ..I wouldn't give a homeless person money because they might buy drugs or alcohol with it just give them food is that going to solve the problem.

"I SAID TO MY SELF WILL THAT MAKE ME FEEL BETTER"
No.. it don't matter of fact it makes me feel even worse because I can only help so few.

What was I suppose to say to my son? Well I said to him son, if I had a few dollars to spare.. I would buy them something to eat .. and your probably right if I gave them money some would not spend it on something to eat and maybe buy there  bottle or fix..

That made me think about a time when I was his age about 12 years old, I used to take food down under the underpass where there were four homeless people staying in card board boxes to make a long story short.. I see my sons point.

But you know a while passed and come to find out one of the homeless men that was staying down there passed away. His name was Whitey Snow I will never forget him..he was a actual millionaire it was in the news paper.. but for some reason he chose to live as a homeless person ..why I asked myself.. why didn't he help the homeless ..so many thing about that bothered me why did he run away from all the responsibility that comes with life. So my point is you don't have to be poor to be a homeless person... there has to be another reason why there are so many?

So.. I believe that some if not most people who are homeless maybe suffering from a mental illness of some type or  something more serious a medical reason and that so many are over looked.. because they drink or are using drugs, you know maybe they do it to self medicate them selves.

I wished I can get more people who would think this way and see things in a different way and write there congress or  do  there has to be something we can do to help.

I think there is way to many homeless people in this country and there needs to be more places opened to trying to find out why they are homeless and  get them some help and maybe place them on the right medications for there illness.. so they can live a normal life.

There is so  many ways now days to diagnose there illness.. we need more evaluation centers, a place where they could be evaluated and pointed in the right direction of giving them the help they so much are in need of.  do you think they would live like they do if they were thinking in there right mind..living night after night in the  freezing cold frost bites and bugs, I can go on and on ..it's not normal.

instead of  building all these prisons spending  billions of dollars every year on prisons ..it's a shame but prisoners are living better then all these homeless people.who are sick.. I know there are many in prison who are also in need of the states help in defining there mental illness.. but that is a hole another story.. this is about people living on the streets in the elements  the young the old people who have served in our military, war vets. This is America come on people.

some of the homeless are military veterans and some are really educated people, some come from a broken and abusive home and had ran away from home when they were young and didn't have a education or know of any other way to live but the streets. I am getting tired it's late and I will pick up tomorrow Thanks for reading if you got this far.
